A Chain of Care is the growing network of healthcare providers, community organizations, mission teams, volunteers, donors, sponsors, and community leaders working together to connect resources with need and create positive impact. Every partner becomes a link in that chain.

Healthcare resources often reach the end of their use in one setting before they reach the end of their useful life. ACI works to help those resources continue creating value by connecting them with organizations and communities that can benefit from them.

Subject to program requirements and acceptance standards, ACI may accept:

• Durable medical equipment

• Clinical and healthcare-related resources

• Mission and specialty healthcare resources

• Financial contributions

• In-kind services and support

Yes. Financial contributions help support resource recovery, community partnerships, volunteer engagement, logistics, program development, and other mission-related activities.

The Aid-Chain Initiative is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations may be tax deductible as allowed by law. Donors should consult their tax advisor regarding individual circumstances.

Depending on the type, condition, suitability, and program requirements, certain durable medical equipment may be eligible for acceptance and evaluation. Please contact us before delivering equipment.

Generally, no. Resource acceptance decisions are guided by quality, safety, stewardship, and program requirements. Expired items are typically not accepted for redistribution. Please contact us about expired supplies.

Yes. Documentation is provided for accepted donations. Donors are responsible for determining any applicable tax treatment with their tax advisor.

No. Resource availability depends on donations, inventory, program priorities, and partner needs. Submission of a request does not guarantee availability.

No. Many volunteer opportunities do not require a healthcare background. People with a variety of skills, experiences, and interests can help support the mission.
